Full Review of the Camelbak Mule
Camelbak is a well-known brand of hydration packs in the UK, and have proven to be one of the most common ways for people to carry beverages without having to use their hands. The Camelback Mule hydration pack keeps water cold and within easy reach. The bag was originally designed for mountain biking but has developed into a very popular hydration pack in a wide variety of situations, from hiking to biking.
Usability
The Camelbak Mule includes a hydration bag which can hold up to 100 fluid ounces of water, enough to keep most people going all day. The sturdy backpack also has 600 cubic inches of space and numerous pockets so there is always plenty of space for the user to carry things. The bag is so simple to use, and the fact that it keeps the liquid cool is even better. There is a very handy bite valve which prevents the tube from leaking when it is not being used, but doesn’t make drinking any more difficult than it needs to be.
For those that are concerned with the cleanliness of such a pack, have no fear as you can purchase some cleaning tablets and a hose brush. However, the Camelbak Mule hydration pack really only needs a rinse after every use, and a thorough clean maybe once a week if being used regularly.
Features
The large storage facilities make this Camelbak Mule hydration pack well worth buying, it is perfect for storing lunch, or personal belongings such as a wallet and keys. The hydration bag is completely separate from the storage compartment, meaning that pretty much anything can be stored there whilst the user focuses on the task in hand.
The bite valve which I mentioned earlier is one of the best features on the Camelback Mule hydration pack, it just puts this pack one step ahead of other, perhaps less expensive, packs that are available on the market.
Whoever actually designed the bag can be summed up in one word: genius. The hydration pack means that people do not have to carry heavy water bottles or alternatively, dehydrate, but it is also positioned right against the strongest part of the user’s back, meaning that all the weight is supported easily, with little struggle.
Advantages
Where to begin? The Camelbak Mule hydration pack is a well thought out and designed product which will bring users of varying levels of activity easy access to water without compromising their safety or concentration. It provides enough space to carry additional items, and even has a separate pocket for an MP3 player. The quality of the materials used to create the pack and bag are of the highest quality, and I have no doubts that one of these bags would last someone a lifetime.
Disadvantages
It feels a little unfair to nitpick at such an incredible product but as always, there is always something that could be improved. In this case, the only complaints are that it is on the pricey side, however the quality of this means that it is a solid investment.

This pack is outstanding. I hope that this pack last forever since I really don’t want to purchase a new one. It will hold a lot of water and is very sleek. Best of all it will hold a lot of things. To be honest it was a little smaller than I was expecting, but I was able to get everything in it that I needed. I was truly surprised. This pack is only 49.95. Pretty reasonable when considering everything that it has to offer.
