The newly re-designed for 2010 Lezyne Fire Break is the Obispo, California brands most compact hydration system pack to date. The Lezyne Fire Break features many great little touches like the glove-friendly zip loops, individually designed tool storage pockets and an emergency whistle built into the chest buckle.

Designed to be a cycling specific, lightweight hydration pack, the Lezyne Fire Break has minimal padding, a 2 litre bladder and just a 2.5 litre total capacity. Light-weight materials and breathable shoulder straps make this tiny backpack perfect for racing and for use in hot weather. Whilst zooming along, any essentials you need can be stuffed in the easy access front pocket which has a quick-zip design.The Lezyne Fire Breakis centred around trail-side organization of your tools and gear which aims to keep everything safe, secure while hitting the dirt.

The new Lezyne Fire Break is the smallest, lightest and most compact hydration pack to date. The padded rear of the Fire Break is very comfortable, although the introduction of a lower abdomen strap would help secure it in place for more rocky terrain.The Lezyne Fire Break is extremely lightweight and ideal for endurance focussed bikers looking for the ultimate in customised gear.

The Lezyne Fire Break is obviously not designed for long trips where a lot of gear is needed. With only half a litre of capacity left when the bladder is full, there is really only enough room for an energy bar, mobile phone, mp3 player and maybe some small tools. However this bag would serve as a great second pack for when you have somewhere to leave the majority of your gear meaning you dont have to be weighed down and lose speed on the trail.

Of course the main reason to buy the Lezyne Fire Breakis for the ability to carry water with you without having to pull out bottles to drink from. Getting dehydrated is the fastest way to lower your performance and spoil your enjoyment. This hydration system lets you carry 2 litres of water or energy drink without getting in the way of your hands and with a conveniently situatedmouthpiece to drink from whenever you want. During intense biking, you may need to drink up to 1 litre of fluid every hour which means having this available at all times helps to drink little and often.

Easy to Clean Bladder

The bladder in the Lezyne Fire Break is easy to remove and clean although it is always advisable to buy a cleaning kit to go with your bag or you may need to replace it sooner than youd like.

This is not a perfect pack but given its size and intended use, many people will find this pack a great addition to their kit.
