Full Review of the Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner
Sometimes buzz words invade the world and you have to wonder whether the Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner is just jumping on the hybrid bandwagon, but you’d be wrong. The Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner actually does run on both mains and battery power, making it ideal for stairs, the car or any difficult to reach places that don’t have mains. The battery runs at full power for around 10 minutes (20 minutes if used with the lower suction settings) and recharges quite quickly, but of course you can carry on using the Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner on the mains without waiting for the recharge. Apart from its hybrid technology, the cleaner is a good looking bagged cylinder cleaner, with a park for the wand so it stays upright in storage, on board tools and variable suction. It is slightly heavier than normal because of the on-board battery, but the handle makes it still easy to carry around as it is hand-friendly and sensibly positioned.
Why I like the Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner
I have enjoyed using my Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner since I got it on all sorts of surfaces in my home. I like the fingertip suction control for if you suddenly find the curtains disappearing up the nozzle, as well as the suction control on the machine itself. The tools on board around the base of the hose took a little getting used to, but I now find it very handy to have them there and it saves me searching round the house for a specific one all the time. It is really quite quiet in operation, but almost spookily so on the battery setting. I have used the Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner on the battery option on the stairs which have always been a real problem with me before, being round a very difficult bend and with no socket in sight. It was just so much easier not having to bear in mind the lead all the while. My husband has used the Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner on the car and was the envy of the street. Its easy to store as well; the hose stays neatly wrapped around the wand and doesn’t mug you every time you open the cupboard.
A few things I dont like so much about the Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner
The Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner is one of the most expensive vacuums on the market. I sometimes resent that as it purrs round the house behind me. The technology is partly the reason for that of course the Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner is a bit of a market leader in that respect and technology is always pricey at first. I’m also not a fan of bags, but Miele do try their very best to keep me away from the actual dust, so it isn’t really that much of an issue. There aren’t any of the fancy tools included in this pack in view of the price I think that just one extra might have been nice.
The Bottom Line
Despite my little moans above, I would definitely recommend the Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner to anyone you don’t have to have awkward stairs or like a squeaky clean car to get the best out of the technology. The Miele S4812 Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner gives a high quality clean all round the house and that is really what we all look for in a vacuum cleaner.

The Miele Hybrid Vacuum Cleaner is really not worth the money. It is one of the most expensive vacuums on the market. It makes too much noise as well. I also am not found of the bags, but they do help to keep me away from the dust, so this really is not such a drawback. Also, it doesn’t come with any tool and you think that for the price they would offer you a few attachments for the price.
