The Singer Confidence 7465 sewing machine is more towards the top end of the Singer range, and so will generally suit a semi-professional or experienced seamstress. This Singer is pretty high-tech, there are plenty of features and functions allowing users to experiment with their sewing, including electronic stitch formation, stitch adjustment, drop-feed, and stitch locking.

Features

Being at the higher end of Singer’s range you would expect the 7465 to be sporting a range of functions, and let me tell you, you won’t be disappointed. The Singer 7465 sewing machine has just about every gizmo that any seamstress or tailor could possibly need to give their sewing a more professional finish.

Thanks to the push-button stitch selection, you will not need to spend too long setting the machine up as just one push of a button sets the optimum stitch length, width, pressure and tension. That being said, there is also the option to manually set the machine up should you prefer not to use the automatic settings.

Other features that really bring your work to life are the built-in stretch stitches, centre zig zag taper, stitch locking function and electronic stitch formation. These easy-to-use functions really go a long way to producing much cleaner and more professional looking items.

This Singer Confidence 7465 sewing machine is all about speed as items can be finished in no time with the 750 stitch-per-minute sewing speed, quick loading bobbin, automatic needle threader, automatic reverse, one-step buttonholes, automatic tensions, and automatic presser foot control.

Oh, don’t think I’ve finished there, these are just a few of the main features, this Singer packs in a few more punches. There are 13 different needle positions which is perfect for different types of sewing and the needle always stops in the ‘up position’ making it simple to remove fabrics. The needle is powered directly from the motor, meaning that this machine is far more powerful than those that are powered from a drive bar.

Accurate feeding is a definite due to the 6-segmenet feeding system which supports the fabric right through from the front to the rear. There is also a box feed rather than arc motion which makes sure that feeding is perfect throughout.

Usability

Despite there being more functions and gizmos on the Singer Confidence 7465 sewing machine than I’ve had hot dinners, it is surprisingly easy to use once you have had a play or two with it. The machine definitely has much more than is needed for a novice but if you are looking to progress in the future, this Singer would last from the early days of learning the basics right through to honing your craft as an expert.

Disadvantages

As always there will be certain aspects of the machine that different people don’t really like, for me personally it is positioning the lever for raising the presser foot as I found it quite awkward to reach. Secondly, the reverse button and foot pedal can be a little unresponsive at times but when they get going the Singer works like a dream.

The only other complaint I imagine anyone to have is that they don’t have enough time to spend with their Singer Confidence 7465 sewing machine a as it certainly is a top contender for best sewing machine currently available on the market.

Advantages

There are far too many advantages to the Singer Confidence 7465 sewing machine to discuss in detail. The main positive is the number of features and functions that this machine offers users, it helps to make sewing easier, quicker, and more enjoyable. The Confidence 7465 gives novices the opportunity to learn more exciting sewing, whilst offering more experienced or expert users the chance to get really creative and improve their art.

The quality of this Singer is obvious from the moment you take it out of the box, which is a relief as many modern machines from the infamous brand have been of poor quality. However, the 7465 seems to be just as reliable as the older Singer machines – great!
